A Critical Lexicon & Concordance to the English & Greek New Testament
Description: A Critical Lexicon and Concordance to the English and Greek New Testament. This classic critical lexicon and concordance is now back in print based on popular demand! English words appear in alphabetical order along with the equivalent Greek words, their literal and derivative meanings, and a list of passages in which they appear. Includes a comprehensive Greek-English index. The Critical Lexicon was originally published in 1877. This work combines a dictionary and concordance in one volume called A Critical Lexicon and Concordance to the English and Greek New Testament.
The design of this Critical Lexicon is to give every English word in alphabetical order, and under each, the Greek word or words so translated, with a list of the passages in which the English word occurs, showing by a reference figure which is the Greek word used in each particular passage. Thus at one view, the Greek word with its literal and derivative meanings may be found for every word in the English New Testament.
In this Critical Lexicon the English words have been given in order, and when two or more are used in the translation of one Greek word, they will be found in order in each case at the foot of the first body of references, where, if not too numerous, they are referred to. The order of the Greek words in the Critical Lexicon has been determined generally by the frequency with which they have been so translated. – A Critical Lexicon and Concordance to the English and Greek New Testament.
